Why
Major problem in dealing with rare diseases is the difficulty in achieving sufficient expertise within a reasonable timeframe. The collective learning by sharing others’ experiences speeds up the learning curve substantially.
How
Only some minor differences occur in patient care among the Nordic countries, hence the collaboration is often straight forward and easy. The thorough reporting, follow-up and available audit tools support the scientific research.
